Nursing Assistant Monitor Technician Med Surg Part Time Nights

Job Summary:

The Nursing Assistant/Monitor Technician assists the nursing staff by performing selected nursing
procedures and routine duties in caring for patients. All functions must be within the scope of training andinstructions received and are under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. He/She will also assist clinicalcare by recognizing changes in heart rate, heart rhythm, NIBP, and oxygen saturation/ETCO2 readings and communicating those changes to the appropriate clinical personnel. He/She acknowledgesresponsibility to adhere to clinical alarm safety procedures improving patient outcomes and limiting alarmfatigue. He/She possesses clerical aptitude and abilities and assists in the coordination of the activities ofthe unit.

Requirements:

Medical terminology and previous health care experience preferred.

Basic Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire.
Initial Dysrhythmia course/Dysrhythmia refresher course within 90 days of hire.
