Position Summary: The Production Manager oversees daily manufacturing operations and manages a team of Production Leads and Mechanical Assemblers. This position ensures all work complies with procedures, documents and specifications while overseeing assembly, tuning and testing of highly reliable cables and interconnect solutions. The role monitors production flow to meet forecasted deliveries for 1st and 2nd shifts and continuously improve product quality and procedures. Operations must be maintained safely and ergonomically for production staff. We seek a results-oriented leader who can motivate and inspire teams with firm but compassionate leadership while working effectively with engineers and management to satisfy aerospace and defense customers and achieve operational goals. Qualifications & Requirements:
- 7-10 years aerospace/defense operations management experience required
- Minimum 3 years leadership experience, preferably in aerospace manufacturing
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred
- AS9100D Lead Auditor certification and Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred
- Understanding of aerospace quality systems, J-STD, IPC-620, and IPC-620 Space
- Knowledge of MIL-STD specifications and testing requirements
- Proficiency with MS Office, MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), and office management software
- Experience creating and maintaining graphs, charts, and statistical process control documentation
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for aerospace customer interface
- Strong interpersonal skills for high-profile aerospace customers
- Team player capable of cross-functional collaboration in fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize workload independently and meet critical delivery schedules
- ITAR compliance training and adherence required
- Security clearance eligibility if required by customer contracts
- Willingness to travel up to 15% for customer visits and supplier audits

- Oversee production floor operations including assemblers, QC, testers, and leads in aerospace-grade connector and cable assembly manufacturing
- Provide team leadership, feedback, discipline, and coaching while maintaining a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Track time and attendance for the production floor and manage schedules to meet aerospace delivery requirements
- Develop and execute production plans to meet company and customer targets with AS9100D compliance
- Coordinate with Estimator, Stock Room, Planning, Purchasing, Engineering, Document Control, Testers, Quality, and Production Leads
- Ensure smooth workflow to maximize productivity while maintaining traceability and documentation for space-flight hardware
- Monitor daily performance reporting and problem-solving for safety, productivity, quality, delivery, cost, growth, and daily blockers
- Lead kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives; support lean manufacturing and Six Sigma projects
- Communicate project status with aerospace customers as primary manufacturing contact
- Develop team members and build skilled, motivated, customer-focused team meeting aerospace standards
- Maintain department capabilities and address gaps for continuous coverage of critical aerospace programs
- Ensure ITAR compliance and maintain required security protocols
- Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for aerospace quality issues
- Work with procurement on material availability and supplier performance for critical components
- Handle interviewing, hiring, mentoring, training, work direction, and performance appraisals

Pay Transparency: Winchester Interconnect Corporation is committed to pay transparency. The pay range for this position is $80,000 to $120,000 annually.
