Temple University's Tyler School of Art and Architecture is searching for a Content Manager!

Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000
A variety of important factors are reviewed by HR when considering salary, including job duties, the applicant's education and experience, all relevant internal equity considerations, department budget, and funding source.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Tyler School of Art's Assistant Dean for Strategic Marketing and Communications, the Content Manager develops and produces high-quality, compelling and accurate content for marketing and communications outreach that supports the school's strategic goals and aligns with brand, mission, and communication objectives. Creates social media content and manages social media platforms for Tyler. The Content Manager brings a strategic approach to storytelling that reflects deep knowledge of Tyler's key audiences, including prospective students, donors, alumni, and community partners. The Content Manager collaborates with Tyler administrators, faculty, students and alumni as well as Temple and external partners to effectively convey Tyler's brand messages. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, marketing or a related field.
* Minimum of three (3) years of writing experience.,
* An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Experience
* Experience writing website, editorial or marketing content.
* Knowledge of the visual arts, the built environment and research in a higher-education context.

Required Skills and Abilities
* Strong writing and editing skills.
* Ability to develop and implement engaging content strategies
* Creativity and imagination.
* Self-motivated and able to work independently.
* Demonstrated organizational skills, along with the ability to be detail-oriented; able to multitask efficiently.
* Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work and collaborate with varied constituencies.
* Experience with social media management.
* Experience in writing editorial content and producing multimedia content.
* Experience with web-based content management tools, Drupal preferred.
* Demonstrated knowledge of content management systems.
* Familiarity with design systems and tools, including Adobe design software and social media tools.
* Understanding of Google Analytics (or other metrics tools), keyword research, and SEO best practices.
* Proofreading skills.

Essential Functions of the Position
* Collaboratively create and curate compelling digital content, including articles, videos, graphics, social media, and other multimedia formats, to engage and expand the Tyler audience.
* Write, review, and edit content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency before publication.
* Ensure all content is optimized for search engines (SEO) and follows industry standards for accessibility and user experience.
* Actively participate in content production, leveraging skills in writing, editing, graphic design, video editing, or other relevant areas.
* Manage and direct photography projects that highlight concepts, features, and themes that embody the institution's vision and objectives.
* Organize and maintain digital asset management system.
* Research web and content marketing trends and utilize social listening to stay on top of higher education industry trends.

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
