Job Description:

Essential Job Functions

1. As the point of contact on assigned projects, this role performs a variety of highly skilled duties such as: creating and managing BIM deliverables using methods to meet the project budget, identifying opportunities for VDC services to improve project delivery, and managing transitions from project planning, bidding, coordination, fabrication, installation, and close-out.
2. Develops, plans, and executes team and personal Initiatives.
3. Develops project teams' use of BIM and implementation of BIM outside of coordination meetings (acts as a change agent).
4. Partners with marketing and business development teams on internal and external marketing; pursuits, business development events, social media, etc.
5. Delegates work to VDC team, Christman peers, and trade contractors.
6. Functions as an expert, leader, and partner to industry peers regarding BIM.
7. Leads and mentors VDC coordinators and interns.
8. Learns and tests new technologies.
9. Follows and presents new technologies to the VDC team for discussion.
10. Identifies opportunities and utilizes full array of VDC resources.
11. Demonstrates proficiency using BIM for 4D scheduling.
12. Demonstrates proficiency leading use of BIM for 5D estimating with project planning peers.
13. Demonstrates proficiency using BIM for 6D facility management.
14. Demonstrates proficiency with virtual and augmented reality.
15. Demonstrates proficiency creating marketing graphics, renderings, and animations.
16. Works with design team during preconstruction to provide BIM-enabled constructability review.
17. Assists VDC group in updating and maintaining document standards and processes.
18. Supports career fair events as applicable.
19. Complete assigned and required training for this role.

Work Environment
The job will be conducted in a temperature controlled professional office environment with routine visits to project sites. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions and noise levels at job sites. The role will routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, file cabinets, and high-end computing hardware, software, and peripheral devices, leveraging technology to connect team members and data, and interactions with global peers.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to talk, listen, sit, walk, reach, kneel, stoop, crouch, use hands and fingers to handle or feel and to operate a computer and telephone keyboard, and maintain visual acuity. The employee may occasionally be required to lift and or carry lightweight objects under 20 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

This position requires the use of mixed reality technology and will be exposed to environments that may results in the following: seizures; loss of awareness; eye strain; eye or muscle twitching; involuntary movements; altered, blurred, or double vision or other visual abnormalities, dizziness; disorientation; impaired balance; impaired hand-eye coordination; excessive sweating; increased salivation; nausea; lightheadedness; discomfort or pain in the head or eyes; drowsiness; fatigue; or any symptoms similar to motion sickness.
Expected Hours of Work
Full time position. Extended hours and weekends may apply.
Travel
Minimal travel required, depending on the project, travel to other areas may be required. Majority of travel done during work hours; overnight stays may be required.
Required Education and Experience
1. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Computer Drafting and Design, Construction Management, or related job field.
2. Two (2) years of experience in engineering design or construction.

3. Equivalent combination of the above education, training, and experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Drafting and Design, Construction Management, or related job field.
2. Experienced in Virtual Design Construction (VDC).

Additional Eligibility Qualifications
1. The ability to contribute as a member of a team and help others succeed is very important for success at Christman. Planning successful projects is done best when there is a high-performance project team assisting our client in making critical design decisions. Attributes include being self-motivated; a problem-solver; creative thinking; and a comfort level presenting concepts and ideas.
2. Proficient in core functions of Architecture Engineering and Construction (AEC), software such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Synchro.
3. Strong computer knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
4. Ability to clearly convey thoughts and ideas effectively. This includes listening, interpreting, formulating, and delivering verbal, non-verbal, written, and/or electronic messages.
5. Collaborative skills towards effective partnership in a highly creative design process and a fast-paced environment.
6. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while planning, scheduling, and organizing a professional schedule to complete actions within established deadlines.
7. Able to research, analyze, identify viable options, draw sound conclusions, present findings, and make thoughtful recommendations considering overall risk and short-term/long-term impact.
8. Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
