Sr. Business Analyst (Supply Chain/WMS)

Dexian has been engaged to identify a Senior Business Analyst with Workforce Management Software expertise for a hybrid, Contract-to-Hire opportunity located in Fort Mill, South Carolina.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

• Expertise as a Business Analyst for at least 3 to 5 years and familiar with all the SDLC processes and tools within IT departments.
• Experience working in a large organization's IT Department communicating with stakeholders across multiple functional and technology groups.
• Experience using various requirements, Testing and Defect management tools such as Jira or QTest.
• Conversant with formal Testing and test management processes.
• Strong Supply Chain domain knowledge and experience working with one or more of the Supply Chain systems: WMS, WCS, TMS or DC Systems.
• Experience with processes and tools used to capture requirements and test plans.
• Be based in and around Charlotte area and work out of the Fort Mill office for 2-3 days in a week.
• Be flexible to travel as needed during the test phases of the project (10-20%).
• Should not require visa sponsorship and this position is for a contract to hire role.
• Should have good understanding of the overall business processes (big picture).
• Should have solid communication skills and be able to drive requirements independently with business stakeholders.

GENERAL PURPOSE:

This Senior Business Analyst position is Chain Portfolio especially focusing on DC Automation initiatives. The Business Analyst serves as a key interface between the business groups teams and IT. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise around technical project delivery best practices to deliver projects in an efficient, timely manner without impacting system stability.
Brings proven track record and ability to balance desired solution end-state within support constraints and with a pragmatic lens. In addition, the position is responsible for gathering user requirements, creating functional requirements, assisting in the development process, ensuring the system meets the functional and user interface specifications, and guiding the business through use of the application.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Systems Support:

• Understand business processes within Supply Chain and DC Automation and how systems enable the business processes.
• Partner with IT cross functional leads to understand business needs to ensure their requirements are met.
• When issues and/or outages occur, perform troubleshooting, provide support, and send communications to help resolve issues

Project Management:

• Gather and document project risks and provide recommendations to project leadership or management on longer-term solutions.
• Gather and document project status updates from responsible parties and present to project leadership or management.
• Collect and consolidate data from responsible parties to be used for reporting and dashboard creation.

Information Management:

• Create and analyze process flow documents of diverse scope by networking with users.

Relationship Management:

• Develop partnership acting as a liaison between security, technical and business teams to understand, troubleshoot, interpret and advise on technical questions or business use cases.
• Document functional and other requirements based on customer or business partner feedback on moderately complex projects.

Development Lifecycle:

• Manage meetings, issue resolution, and escalation for the Project Team during the design and build phases of moderately complex projects.
• Develop the understanding of strengths/limitations various tools and technologies available.
• Allocate documentation activities to members of the team and self of all test-related deliverables including test approach, test scenarios, test cases/conditions, test scripts, and test results
• Drive test execution throughout all phases of testing (i.e. unit, end-to-end, integration, performance, operational readiness, user acceptance.) for small to moderately complex projects.
• Suggest alternate methods of data gathering and/or data presentation.

Technical Operations:

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to define the release and deployment plans.
• Lead post deployment validation as instructed by project leadership or management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Business, Economics, Finance or Computer Science, or an equivalent diploma.
• 7 to 10 years of experience in the IT field or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to understand and apply instructions or suggest alternate proven methods to move projects forward.
• Ability to follow established practices, policies and procedures.
• Ability to build stable working relationships.
• Strong communication skills.
• Sound understanding of productivity suite software (i.e. Microsoft Office).
• Strong analytical skills.
• Able to create simple to complex analytical solutions.
• Ability to take an abstract analytical problem and break it down into action.
