What You Will Do:



The Manager, Patient Safety & Quality Improvement is responsible for Quality Improvement (QI), Infection Prevention (IP), and Patient safety at a single entity and additionally is involved in system-level IP, QI, and patient safety activities. This position provides feedback, support, and education to both providers and clinical unit staff with the primary goal of achieving accountability and compliance with all metrics. Works in conjunction with the Stroke Program Coordinator. Responsible for effectively facilitating performance improvement teams. Participate in Joint Commission and other regulatory compliance related activities, and/or other organization wide projects. The position requires collaboration with appropriate staff, disciplines, and departments in developing and overseeing the implementation of plans of corrective action. Innovation is required to improve work procedures and methods, which result in consistent application of practices related to compliance with the clinical quality and safety data. The duties of this position affect direct patient care through the provision of services, which enable others to provide direct care. Communication is required internally and externally to persuade or gain cooperation and acceptance of ideas and processes. Who Should Apply:




  1. Graduate of an accredited program of nursing or related clinical discipline.
  2. Bachelor's degree required and Master's degree in related field preferred.
  3. Demonstrated experience in performance improvement and data management required.
  4. Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience.
  5. Previous progressive management experience preferred.
  6. Previous experience in database utilization.
  7. Must maintain current Maryland License as an RN or other licensed clinical discipline or licensure in a compact state that allows practice in Maryland
  8. Certification by the Association of Health Care Quality (CPHQ) or other applicable professional organization preferred within 1-year of hire


Salary Range: Minimum 46.57/hour - Maximum 72.18/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
