Wholesale Marketing Project Manager - Sport Channel

Marketing/Trade Marketing Team

This is a 6-month, full-time (40 hours/week), hybrid contract role located in Portland, OR.


Summary
We are seeking a skilled Wholesale Marketing Project Manager to support trade marketing initiatives across multiple key accounts in the sport retail channel. This role plays an integral part in aligning cross-functional teams, maintaining go-to-market milestones, and enhancing execution across retail partners. You'll collaborate closely with account leads, digital marketing, and internal teams to ensure consistency and success across marketing programs.

Our Ideal Candidate


  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing project management or trade marketing



  • Passion for retail and consumer marketing with a strong foundation in project planning and cross-functional coordination



  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), SharePoint, and collaborative tools



  • Familiar with go-to-market processes, retail marketing strategies, and incentive programming



  • Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders including sales, events, digital, and brand teams



  • Able to work independently and manage multiple initiatives with shifting priorities



  • Flexible and adaptable to evolving business needs, timelines, and partners



  • Strong written and verbal communication with exceptional attention to detail



  • Self-starter with organizational discipline and a solutions-focused mindset




Job Description

In this role, you will support the execution of marketing initiatives across sport-focused retail accounts.

You'll partner with internal teams including sales, brand, digital, and planning to drive visibility and alignment across marketing timelines, campaigns, and GTM (Go-To-Market) milestones. This includes:




  • Leading recurring meetings and presentations for key launches and moments



  • Creating and managing content calendars aligned with paid media plans



  • Supporting sample orders and recap presentations



  • Standardizing project tools and templates (e.g., workbacks, run of show, folder structures)



  • Collaborating with Marketing Operations, Events, and Retail Planning teams on template development



  • Assisting in the buildout and tracking of KPIs for launches and specialist incentive programs



  • Maintaining communications across departments and surfacing insights through reports and dashboards




You will also contribute to the ongoing refinement of project management practices and marketing documentation to improve team efficiency and campaign effectiveness.


Education and Experience


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience



  • Background in marketing project management, preferably within consumer goods, retail, or sporting industries



  • Familiarity with campaign activation, retail GTM processes, and trade marketing

This opportunity is located in Portland, OR and requires hybrid work (3 days onsite, 2 days remote; days are flexible).

The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $36.20 - $40.50 per hour. This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements.
