Job Description

Position Summary:

At the direction of the Operations Supervisor, the Master Scheduler will be responsible for developing and maintaining the master production schedule, aligning manufacturing and material plans with customer demand, and ensuring delivery timelines are met. This role manages the production operations for the manufacture and repair of aerospace products and is critical in driving operational efficiency, supply chain alignment, and production optimization. The person in this role will also have duties related to facilities trade compliance.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prioritize all production schedules to ensure 100% on-time delivery of all customer orders and plant maintenance using current MRP/ERP software.
  • Analyze sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements.
  • Work with Operations Supervisor to schedule production for maximum machine utilization.
  • Release job orders and deliver them to the appropriate supervisor
  • Ensure job orders are completed before closing them
  • Lead daily morning operations meeting
  • Compare shipping information and delivery dates per customer request.
  • Actively support and participate in continuous improvement through team meetings, and holding themselves, as well as others, accountable for sustaining improvements.
  • Work to resolve conflicts with supply and demand and available capacity
  • Collect data and prepares reports
  • Support estimators with key information that allows for accurate quotes
  • Will be trained in import-export rules and be able to serve as the Facilities Compliance Officer (FCO) for Helicomb. Under the guidance of the division's Trade Compliance Manager, monitor export activities and internal controls, and advise staff about compliance awareness to assist the site in staying in compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to work across departments to achieve favorable outcomes
  • Intermediate to high level in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
  • Strong mindset for continuous improvement
  • Experience working with company ERP systems

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
  • At least four years Master Scheduler / Production Control experience
  • Aerospace experience preferred
