Barnes Aerospace is seeking a dynamic Director of OEM Sales, focused on RTX Programs (Collins, Pratt & Whitney, Pratt & Whitney Canada, Raytheon) to join its Sales & Commercial team. The right candidate will have a proven track record of generating sales and capturing new business with RTX sourcing teams and will be responsible for the growth and maintenance of new and existing RTX customers. The ideal candidate will be the key link between our customers and aerospace manufacturing locations, utilizing product knowledge and sales experience to achieve profitable growth across all Barnes Aerospace OEM sites worldwide. - Drive and generate OEM sales growth with RTX sourcing teams (Collins, Pratt & Whitney, Pratt & Whitney Canada, Raytheon) and focus on identifying and managing significant opportunities to closure through the Bid Management & Commercial Excellence processes.
- Take an active role and collaborate with leadership, Sales Ops and Commercial teams in establishing sales strategy and sales objectives for the RTX account, consistent with the Barnes Aerospace profitable growth strategy and annual plans. Collaborate on development and implementation of growth strategies with RTX opportunities that support the site's OEM goals for increased sales and profits.
- Review and track opportunities in CRM system, provide detailed updates to sales forecasts and estimated close dates for high probability opportunities.
- Report weekly and monthly updates of current business and forecasted new programs.
- Create countermeasures when not meeting targets and track progress on such countermeasures.
- Provide customer service and technical support to RTX customer accounts for Barnes Aerospace's OEM sites.
- Build, maintain and expand network of customer relationships within RTX. Leverage internal and external contacts to develop relationships with customer's purchasing, engineering, and senior-level leaders.
- Identify and recommend new product, customer, and market opportunities with RTX to the senior leadership team.
- Serve as the "voice of the customer for RTX" to the leadership team proactively communicating issues, risks and opportunities as well as providing potential solutions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in technical sales/ business development, with at least 10 years of experience in the aerospace industry for engines.
- Minimum 5 years management experience with RTX sourcing teams.
- Understanding of manufacturing and processes required for machining metal and/or metal fabrications. Prefer experience in metal fabrication and/or machining in aerospace market.
- Proven track record executing successful sales plans. Creative thinker who can contribute to the overall sales strategy.
- Existing relationships with major engine and airframe OEMs preferred. Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with targeted customers at mid and senior levels within the organization.
- Impeccable integrity, strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills; unparalleled focus on customer service and effectively able to interact with all levels within the organization and the customer's organization.
- Results-oriented individual with a sense of urgency, diplomatic, well-organized and exhibits excellent writing and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret customer blueprints, customer RFQ/RFP's.
- Up to 50%% travel required.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required in engineering, business, or marketing. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
