What you'll own as the Senior Director - Strategic Initiatives, Operations

This Senior Director will lead, coordinate, and deliver cross-functional programs that are critical to the company's long-term growth and competitive positioning in the payments industry. This role will oversee the execution of high-impact projects, drive alignment across business units, and ensure that strategic objectives are met on time and within budget. The ideal candidate combines deep program management expertise with strong business acumen and a passion for innovation in the payments ecosystem.

  • Program Leadership: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple, complex strategic programs across the organization, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and objectives.

  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for executive sponsors, business leaders, and cross-functional teams, facilitating collaboration and transparent communication.

  • Strategic Planning: Partner with senior leadership to define program objectives, success criteria, and roadmaps that align with the company's vision and strategic priorities.

  • Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies; develop mitigation strategies and ensure timely resolution to keep programs on track.

  • Performance Tracking: Establish KPIs and reporting mechanisms to monitor program progress, financials, and outcomes; provide regular updates to executive leadership.

  • Change Management: Drive adoption of new processes, technologies, and initiatives by developing effective change management plans and communication strategies.

  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and implementing best practices in program and project management.

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop program and project managers, ensuring high performance and professional growth.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)

  • 10+ years of experience in program management, including at least 5 years in a leadership role within the payments, fintech, or financial services industry

  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale, cross-functional strategic initiatives

  • Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem, industry trends, and regulatory environment

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

  • Expertise in program management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, hybrid)

  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • PMP, PgMP, or similar program/project management certification preferred

The pay range for this full-time position is $177,100.00 - $297,500.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
