In this dual role, you'll perform official Hawaii State Vehicle Safety Inspections while supporting storage operations, maintenance tasks, and customer service. Lead Safety & Operations with Confidence You'll combine inspection expertise with operational support to keep vehicles safe, compliant, and ready for use. Perform State Inspections: Complete Hawaii State Safety Inspections on commercial, military, and privately owned vehicles, issuing certificates as required by law. Survey & Document Vehicles: Inspect inbound and outbound vehicles for condition and content, recording results accurately. Support Operations: Reposition, park, and stage vehicles at the Barbers Point facility for safe identification and access. Maintain Facilities: Assist with the upkeep of site grounds, trailers, and structures to ensure a safe, clean environment. Deliver Customer Service: Provide professional support to clients and representatives through phone, email, and in-person service. Ensure Accuracy: Complete inspections, documentation, and reports thoroughly and on time. Promote Safety: Operate forklifts, vehicles, and equipment with care to protect people and property. Bring Skills That Keep Vehicles Safe This role requires technical expertise, inspection certification, and the ability to support operations in varied environments. Education & Credentials: High school diploma or equivalent required. Hawaii State Vehicle Safety Inspector license required. Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and TWIC card required. Experience: At least 2 years as an automotive mechanic. Technical Skills: Ability to operate manual/automatic vehicles, forklifts, and computerized devices. Professional Strengths: Strong customer service, organization, multitasking, and communication skills with accountability and reliability. Technology: Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
