We are seeking a Systems Engineer to provide technical and programmatic support to the Development Integrated Product Team (IPT) within PMA-261, the program office responsible for the lifecycle management of the CH-53E and CH-53K aircraft. The engineer will play a critical role in advancing the development and integration of complex subsystems in support of the CH-53K platform, including software, avionics, propulsion, airframe, and mission systems. Occasional travel may be required (10-20%) to support OEM site visits, technical reviews, and stakeholder meetings.

Duties:




  • Serve as a systems engineering liaison between NAVAIR and OEM/industry partners during the development, test, and integration phases of the CH-53K program.



  • Lead or support requirements development, traceability, and verification/validation efforts.



  • Conduct technical reviews, assessments, and risk analyses on engineering change proposals, test plans, interface control documents, and technical data packages.



  • Assist in the development of Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETRs) such as SRR, PDR, and CDR.



  • Contribute to system architecture design and integration planning for developmental systems and upgrades.



  • Support the implementation and oversight of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and processes.



  • Coordinate with test and evaluation teams to align system design with developmental and operational test objectives.



  • Monitor and report on system maturity, technical performance measures, and development metrics.



  • Participate in Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), Integrated Program Teams (IPTs), and engineering working groups.



  • Ensure compliance with DoD, NAVAIR, and SECNAV systems engineering policy and processes.




Required Experience:




  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering or technical program support within the defense or aerospace sector.



  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes (especially within NAVAIR or NAVSEA).



  • Strong understanding of systems engineering life cycle processes, including requirements management and risk management.



  • Proficiency with systems engineering tools such as DOORS, MagicDraw/Cameo, or similar MBSE platforms.



  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.




Required Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.


Desired Qualifications:



  • May require a mast's degree

  • Experience supporting rotary-wing aircraft programs, preferably CH-53 or similar platforms.



  • Knowledge of CH-53K system architecture, subsystems, and development challenges.



  • INCOSE CSEP or DAWIA certification in Systems Engineering or Program Management.



  • Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.




Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $77,57.36-$155,142.72 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems' total compensation package.
