Job Title: DataStage ETL Developer

Work Location: Remote, Washington, DC

Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified DataStage ETL Developer candidate for a Remote position on one of our prime Federal projects in Arlington, VA. Federal agency requires US Citizenship.

Candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing ETL processes using IBM Infosphere DataStage. You will work closely with data architects, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure data is efficiently extracted, transformed, and loaded into our data warehouse and analytics platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain ETL processes using IBM Infosphere DataStage to support data integration and data warehousing initiatives.
• Collaborate with business users and data architects to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design data models and workflows that optimize data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
• Monitor and troubleshoot ETL jobs to ensure high performance, reliability, and data integrity.
• Conduct data quality assessments and implement data cleansing processes to maintain data accuracy.
• Create and maintain documentation for ETL processes, data mappings, and technical specifications.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for ETL development.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data integration and ETL processes.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

• BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Computer Engineering, or similar.

Experience/Skills:

• Federal Client requires US Citizenship
• 7+ years of proven experience as an ETL Developer, specifically 5 years working with IBM Infosphere DataStage.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with database systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2.
• Familiarity with data modeling tools and techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with other ETL tools and technologies is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or Java.
• Experience with cloud-based data solutions (Azure/AWS).

Salary and Benefit Information:

The likely salary range for this position is $112,210 - $145,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
