This position is hybrid - Tuesday - Thursday in the New York Office and Monday and Friday work from home.

Role Overview:

As Senior Associate - Venture Technologist, you will play a key role in supporting and scaling technical partnerships between early-stage startups and New York Life. This role will support and provide technical expertise across all aspects of the Ventures partnership process, from startup evaluation, pilot design and execution, feedback and co-development, and implementation.In each step, you will play a central role in the collaboration between the startups and stakeholder groups within New York Life.If you're passionate about emerging technology, enjoy problem-solving, and thrive in fast-paced environments, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do:

Act as a technical liaison between startups and internal business and technical stakeholders, facilitating successful integrations and partnerships.

Assist in defining technical requirements, validating solutions, and supporting pilot programs through to production.

Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment between business needs and technical feasibility.

Help startups troubleshoot challenges, optimize performance, and scale their solutions effectively in partnership with New York Life.

Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to provide insights and recommendations.

Build and maintain strong relationships with our ecosystem of startup teams, investors, and internal partners.

Act as a translator between startup tech and enterprise IT or engineering to ensure success.

Help identify internal champions to navigate procurement, IT and risk processes.

Manage a portfolio of existing tech solutions under NYLV's "BlueField" co-development portfolio, with responsibility for day-to-day support and technical ownership.

Contribute to broader New York Life innovation goals to evolve how we operate via partnership and shared learning

What You'll Bring:

Entrepreneurial Mindset: You're proactive, resourceful, and excited to collaborate with startups to deliver innovative technology to NYL teams.

Technical Acumen: Background in system and software implementations, with hands-on experience either on the startup or corporate side of enterprise technology (ideally both)

Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to assess complex challenges and collaborate on innovative solutions.

Relationship Management: Comfortable working with both technical and business stakeholders to drive partnerships forward via a white-glove support model.

Curiosity & Passion for Innovation: You love learning about emerging technologies and working with startups.

Experience Level: Mid-level (5 years in a technical role, startup and enterprise experiences are pluses, ideally both).

Familiarity with New York Life's tech platforms and processes is preferred

Clear interest in contributing to the evolution of a modern, scalable technology operating model

Pay Transparency

Salary Range:$77,500-$132,500

Overtime eligible:Exempt

Discretionary bonus eligible:Yes

Sales bonus eligible:No

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
