Kummer Student Programs

Job Description

Manages and coordinates the functions of the Kummer Innovation and Entrepreneurship Doctoral Fellows program and supports the comprehensive programming of Kummer Student Programs department. This position will report to the Assistant Dean of Entrepreneurship Education in the Kummer College of Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Economic Development. Additionally, this role will support the overall operation and continuous improvement of the Kummer Student Programs department, campus- wide programming focused on entrepreneurship and innovation, and support for co-curricular experiences within the Kummer College at Missouri S&T.

  • Organizes and implements program activities; tracks and assesses program activities and student outcomes according to approved criteria; maintains accurate data to support the success of students in the Kummer Innovation and Entrepreneurship Doctoral Fellows program
  • Coordinates mentorship of students in the programs with internal and external stakeholders; leads or assists with planning of conferences, pitches, and all program events; coordinates activities with internal and external support services
  • Coordinates with alumni, faculty and staff supporting the student programs for presentations, projects and student selection processes
  • Recommends and assists in the development, implementation and administration of policies and procedures to support the Kummer Innovation and Entrepreneurship Doctoral Fellows
  • Coordinates with academic departments and fiscal services to ensure program participants receive adequate financial support
  • Monitors academic and programmatic progress of students with collaboration of faculty and staff
  • Provide support for the campus wide multi-department events that are connected to the mission and operations of Kummer Student Programs.
  • Provide support for the Kummer Student Programs team's general operations, including the graduate students in the Kummer Vanguard Scholars program (undergraduate scholarship program).
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Organizational Behavior, or similar program
  • Four years of experience in higher education, demonstrated experience in student support services, and collaborative project completion
  • Demonstrated experience in communicating with external constituencies and collaborating across departments to build partnerships and programs to support student success
Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $55,000-$61,000 annually.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
