Position Description

Your Opportunity:

TechSource is hiring a full-time Database Developer to support Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Office of Technology and Engineering Maturation, NA-115. You will develop a software tool using Access to measure technical development and performance while also tracking budgets for future financial years. In this hybrid work arrangement, you'll work 2 - 3 days a week onsite in the DOE Forrestal Building, and 2 - 3 days each week remotely.

What You Will Do:

* Develop a software tool using a Microsoft Access relational database for technology development and performance measurements.

* Develop technical performance measurements and perpetual financial budgeting tools for future financial years (5+ years forecasting).

* Develop measurement and tracking tools for financial execution.

* Develop visualization tools using Microsoft Power BI.

* Convert current Excel tools into a relational database tool within Access.

* Perform system functionality testing to ensure business end users can perform their tasks in the system.

* Perform configuration and end users testing of reporting and automated data extractions.

* Analyze business requirements and validate against system functionality.

* Assist and troubleshoot system reporting issues on behalf of end users.

* Manage the database and make changes to meet customer needs.

* Meet with key stakeholders to obtain an understanding of and document business requirements for system design and development and modifications.

What You Will Need:

* Active Department of Energy (DOE) Q security clearance or Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret security clearance.

* 3 or more years of experience using Excel, MS Access, and Power BI as a database developer

* Experience developing standard operating procedures and business process documentation.

* Strong knowledge of relational databases; ability to perform data queries and reports.

* Experience performing system testing (user acceptance testing, configuration testing) and documenting outcomes.

* Basic understanding of system configuration and requirements gathering in an IT or business system environment.

* Hands-on experience with creating executive-level reports and management dashboards.

* Understanding of federal information technology regulations.

Preferred Experience:

* Experience working in the Nuclear Security Enterprise, including the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA).

* Experience working daily with scientists and engineers.
