Job Description

Torch Technologies is seeking a Acquisition Security Support Specialist to join our TMAS2 security team. The Government has contracted with Torch Technologies, Inc., to provide engineering and engineering management Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) under the Technical and Management Advisory Services (TMAS2) contract. Torch is seeking candidates for a broad spectrum of technical positions ranging from network system administration, Information Technology (IT) and Security Support Specialist for a nationwide, secure network supporting the program, through the full spectrum of science and engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities:

This position requires a highly motivated individual with experience. The successful candidate shall perform administrative functions and duties in accordance with DoD regulations and guidance required in the performance of duties. Information security support includes, but is not limited to:

  Providesadviceandassistanceinmanning the entry control desk, monitoringthefacilityentrance,implementingforce protection notices and fire alarm status, monitoring a PED (Personal Electronics Device) detection system, and answer the Division Security telephone

  Supports entry control desk duties including maintaining visitor log and visitor badge control, monitoring video security systems, and coordinating delivery receipt and paging personnel

  
  

• 
  

  Conductsand updates the end-of-day security checklists and rosters in coordination with the security manager as well as directed physical security inspections involving climbing ladders higher than 20 feet and working in confined spaces for limited time periods.

  Conducts and reports weekly Random Anti-terrorism Measures and support security inspections

  
  

• 
  

  Identifies deficiencies in the controlled area security and coordinate solutions with the security manager and site ops/infrastructure team.

  
  

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Must have an Associate's degree with 4 years of experience or a Bachelor's degree.
• Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required
• Must have a Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access within 6 months of job start.

Preferred Skills:

• Previous experience with Advance Programs is preferred.
• Experience in SAP Security is desired.
• Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Program Security Fundamentals Professional Certification is recommended, but not required.

Security Clearance: Top Secret, must be SCI-eligible within 6 mos. of employment; this requirement must be maintained throughout employment tenure.
