Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Production Manager to join our aerospace manufacturing team. The Production Manager oversees the daily operations of aerospace manufacturing processes to ensure the efficient production of high-quality aerospace components and assemblies. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising production activities to meet customer requirements, quality standards, safety regulations, and delivery schedules. The manager leads a team of production supervisors, and operators in a high-precision, regulated manufacturing environment

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan, direct, and coordinate all production activities to meet production goals, quality standards, and delivery deadlines.
• Supervise and support production staff, including supervisors, Account managers, and machinists.
• Monitor and optimize manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and other aerospace industry standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen) to enhance productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with KPO Leader, engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and maintenance teams to resolve production issues and improve processes.
• Analyze production data, prepare performance reports, and present updates to Site Leader
• Ensure all safety, health, and environmental regulations are followed.
• Participate in audits, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action processes (CAPA).
• Assist in capacity planning, resource allocation, and capital equipment investment decisions.
• Train and develop team members to meet evolving technical and production requirements.
• Must be able to interpret customer drawings and specifications
• Assist with part quoting and quote process

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace manufacturing standards, processes, machine tool and cycle times and regulatory compliance (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP).
• Proven experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., job boss, visuals).
• Proficient in lean manufacturing tools and techniques (e.g., 5S, value stream mapping, SPC).
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
• PMP (Project Management Professional)
• AS9100 Internal Auditor Certification

Physical Requirements

• Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
• Must be able to frequently stand and walk.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to have prolonged periods standing 8-10 hours a day
