About the Department and/or College

Founded in 1925 as one of the university's four original colleges, the College of Arts & Sciences is comprised of 15 departments, offering a wide variety of courses and programs in the humanities, social and behavioral sciences, mathematics, physical sciences, and natural sciences. The college is the largest on TTU's campus, representing more than a quarter of the university's student population.

Major/Essential Functions


  • Coordinate clinical research activities with clinical care. This involves liaising with physicians/psychologists from multiple specialties, clinic staff, as well as patients/participants, in order to ensure protocol adherence and conduct the study in accordance with Good Clinical Practices.
  • Intimate knowledge of multiple study protocols is required to be able to screen, confirm eligibility, coordinate the necessary battery of tests/procedures, and schedule appointments.
  • This position is the primary point of contact for clinical trial participants.
  • Coordinate with IRB to ensure the proper approvals are in place and our team is in compliance. When needed, reporting of adverse events is conducted.
  • Coordinate with the funding agency and ensure compliance with monthly reports and other required reporting.
  • Develop and maintain the project database, including entering questionnaires into the system, ensuring data is collected and stored properly, and exporting data for analyses.

Required Qualifications

High school plus six years experience in related field. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous research experience working with clients. Previous database experience. Previous experience running groups.

Occasional Duties

May be asked to participate/run group sessions with participants.

Pay Statement
