Responsibilities

Brentwood Hospital is looking for a dynamic Assistant Director of Clinical Services to join our team of professionals who are dedicated to providing help and hope to individuals and families for the achievement of improving their mental health. The Assistant Director of Clinical Services directs and manages an effective organization-wide clinical service delivery system ; develops implements, and supervises a quality social services program and other clinical services for psychiatric patients and their families, spouse, significant other; to serve as a member of interdisciplinary team supporting the organization's treatment program and philosophy and assure the deliverance of quality treatment to psychiatric and/or chemically dependent patients and their families; Develops and administers a comprehensive partial organization program that responds to the community's needs and supports the organization's overall mission, philosophy, and goals. Integrates the management of the partial system into the Behavioral Health System's continuum of care under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. In coordination with the director of clinical services identifies and oversees the development of the programs and clinical services necessary to meet key mental health and substance abuse treatment needs of the community in keeping with the organization's philosophy and goals; meets regularly with key staff to ascertain community needs and concerns; meets regularly with clinical managers to discuss program development and modification of programs to meet changing needs; involvement in community agencies that target mental health needs/concerns

  2. Maintains a highly interactive relationship with the organization CEO and management team to assure the development and expansion of the organization's services and carry out related assignments as needed (e.g., speaking engagements, workshops...)

  3. Ensures prompt departmental orientation of each new hire; documents each new hire's participation in orientation, in accordance with applicable standards and regulations; provides each new hire with current job description and reviews expectation of job at hire

Qualifications

Education: Master's degree in social work or psychology and licensed by the LSBSWEor LPCBE

Experience: Experience in a behavioral health hospital setting preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Currently licensed to practice by the LSBSWE or LPCBE (LCSW / LPC) required

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
