OverviewTheWindows Fundamentals & Data Team within the Windows Service and Delivery (WSD) organization at Microsoft is hiring a Data Engineer who wants to get their hands on large scale and complex data landscape, with deep knowledge of data architecture and management, and distributed systems, who is interested in working alongside Software Engineers to drive business impact and is passionate about enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.As a Data Engineer II, you will work on a team of engineers who move fast and innovate. You will help build optimized data pipelines to scale from hundreds of millions of events per day to billions. ResponsibilitiesImplement scalable and performant data models, data pipelines, data storage, management, batch ingestion and transformationsolutionsfor real-time decisioning, reporting, data collecting, and related functions. Develop application components and services to support data related processes, presentation, and consumption.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data processing and storage.Contribute to efforts to break down larger work items into smaller work items and provides estimation.Remain current in skills by investing time and effort into staying abreast of latest technologies.Consider testability, monitoring, reliability, performance and maintainability to develop solutions for quality validation and continuous improvement.Use large data sets to provide insight into business and functional issues while improving data reliability, efficiency, and quality.Embody our Culture and Values. | |
