Acara Solution is looking for an Space Force MUOS Engineering Risk Manager for Our client located in Scottsdale, AZ.

Here's what you'd do:

  • The client is seeking an experienced Risk Manager to join our Space Force Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) program team.
  • The Risk Manager will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risks associated with the MUOS program to ensure successful project execution and delivery.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management plan for the MUOS program
  • Identify and assess potential risks that could impact project scope, schedule, cost, and quality
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop opportunities as well as risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans
  • Monitor and report on risk status and progress to senior management and stakeholders
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and reviews, updating risk registers and documentation as needed
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on risk management best practices and tools
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Facilitate risk workshops and meetings to promote a proactive risk & opportunity management culture within the program
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in risk management, project management, and communication.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in risk management tools and software
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree
  • Agile experience
  • Experience with ROMPro
  • PMP, RMP, or other relevant certifications
  • Strong ability to lead, mentor, and motivate experienced technical staff
  • High level of proficiency in risk management
  • Experience with government contracts and defense industry standards
  • Knowledge of the MUOS program and its objectives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
