Job Title: Transport Engineer Location(s): Alpharetta, GA Targeted Years of Experience: 3-5 years in telecom services Responsibilities: Perform detailed engineering for network augments. This includes developing all of the specifications required for installation forces to properly install, turn-up, inventory, and configure the equipment, obtaining appropriate management approvals, issuing purchase and/or transport service orders, creating applicable diagrams/ drawings, and ensuring vendor delivery. Ensure that work meets all applicable engineering, financial, planning, and operational standards. Define cable requirements, create cable running lists, and order all cables. Manage, input, and update central Network Inventory Database to reflect new builds, adds, and decommissions. MUST HAVE SKILLS Written and Verbal Communication Skills Ability to multitask and manage high volume DESIRED SKILLS: Project Management experience Excel functions (VLOOKUP, etc) EXPERIENCE 1-2 years experience in Ethernet Backhaul ordering and provisioning 1-2 years experience in Circuit database and Project Management database experience Degree not required.
