DESCRIPTION OF WORK

An individual occupying this role will be accountable to the Group Manager of the Watershed Support Section within the Nonpoint Source Management Division of the Bureau of Watershed Restoration and Nonpoint Source Management (BWRNSM). This position entails providing both administrative and technical assistance in the execution of various federal and state grant initiatives, which include the Section 319 Nonpoint Source Management program, Growing Greener, and funding for Conservation District Watershed Specialists. Key responsibilities involve the preparation of comprehensive reports, effective communication regarding the status of numerous federal and state project obligations and expenditures, as well as the management of contracts and non-solicitation request agreements. Additionally, the role requires the development of standard operating procedures aimed at ensuring fiscal oversight and management. A significant aspect of this position is the formulation and implementation of standards for the compilation of fiscal reports, along with project-specific reports derived from various databases, such as PracticeKeeper, eFACTS, and the EPA Grants Reporting and Tracking System (GRTS).

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • This position will require travel as needed.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $45,907 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of advanced clerical or para-professional work which included the collection, recording, compilation, and presentation of office management or program related information; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training. An Associate's Degree may be substituted for two years of required experience.
