DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This Administrative Assistant 1 position works as a member of a team with other IO support staff. With us, you will assist efforts related to IO budgeting, including coordinating the compilation of data and budgetary information necessary to prepare and develop IO administrative budget/re-budget reports for submission to IO Executives and PSERS budget office. Responsibilities involve coordinating budgeting and purchasing, providing operational support, and completing administrative tasks for our Strategy, Implementation & Market Risk team of investment professionals who manage internal portfolios and oversee externally managed portfolios. Key tasks for this role include sending, tracking, receiving, and filing electronic and hard copy correspondence with internal and external portfolio managers; and utilizing research and document management software.

Due to the sensitive and high visibility nature of the Executive Office, Board, and investment-related information handled by these groups, our team will rely on you to exercise sound judgment and discretion in confidential matters, work with considerable independence, and adapt to changing priorities and demands. You will also have the opportunity to receive cross training in other IO support areas and the Executive Office/Board support functions. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:
