We're looking for a proactive and experienced Area Safety Manager to join our team and ensure our facilities operate safely and efficiently, adhering to all internal and external regulations.

What You'll Do:

As an Area Safety Manager, you'll be a vital partner to our facility managers, ensuring top-notch safety and compliance across your assigned area. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with leadership to champion safety and compliance initiatives.

  • Supporting locations in developing and implementing improvement plans to minimize accidents and injuries.

  • Promoting safe work practices and assisting facilities in enforcing policies and procedures to reduce incidents.

  • Conducting comprehensive audits of facilities, drivers, vehicles, and maintenance operations.

  • Monitoring compliance with operational procedures through audits and employee task observations.

  • Coordinating and delivering essential training programs, including driver training and safety procedures.

  • Assisting in accident investigations and follow-up to prevent future occurrences.

  • Working closely with managers to develop and enforce location-specific work safety rules.

  • Creating training materials, such as videos and presentations.

  • Monitoring new policies and procedures, ensuring facility compliance.

  • Traveling approximately 50-65% to support various locations.

What You'll Bring:

  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required. If you have 5+ years of relevant experience, it can be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Certifications (Preferred): Advanced certifications like ASP or CSP are a plus!

  • Experience:

    • Industry and product knowledge, especially experience with compressed gases, is preferred.

    • Working knowledge of Safety and OSHA regulations.

    • Familiarity with FDA, DHS, PSM/RMP, EPA, and DOT regulations is beneficial.

  • Skills:

    • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly interpret and explain policies.

    • A collaborative approach with the ability to influence effectively across all levels.

    • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
