On-Call part-time Cloud Engineer (SUASMAN)

BTS Software Solutions is seeking an On-Call part-time Cloud Engineer to support operations in Hurlburt Field, Fl .

The on-call Cloud Engineer shall deploy, debug, and execute initiatives related to cloud computing at the request of the Senior SUASMAN Engineer

Primary Location: Hurlburt Field, FL

Work Schedule: Part Time Not to Exceed 20 Hours Per Week (unless approved by PM)

Benefits: Not benefits eligible, except where required by state and federal law

Clearance Requirement: SECRET

Minimum Requirements:

Assist in the maintenance and sustainment of SUASMAN in its designated cloud-based system.

Provide support and recommendations based on Government needs by identifying cloud emerging computing services and technologies.

Migrate resident applications to the cloud as directed.

Optimize cloud resources for optimal solutions and performance.

Assist the government in preparing responses to taskers from USAF staffs, units, and USSOCOM and/or its components regarding SUASMAN technical papers and briefings.

Assist SUASMAN Engineering Support staff in testing of all SUASMAN revisions.

Provide feedback, guidance, and support to colleagues and partners.

Required Education and Experience:

• BA/BS Degree or Equivalent Experience

• COMP TIA Security + Certification.
• AWS Solutions Architect certification
• 3+ years of operations experience providing application infrastructure support.
• Competent to demonstrated experience in the following AWS areas: EC2, VPC, CloudWatch, S3, IAM, CloudFormation, and CLI
• Strong infrastructure background in the provisioning, deploying, operating, and maintaining of storage, compute, and network solutions.
• Proficient in network security concepts such as IPsec, VPN, SSH, and TLS
• Experience in AWS ALB, forward/reverse proxy, and monitoring.
• Scripting (PowerShell/Python)
• Familiar with AWS AMI and Snapshots
• Familiar with AWS RDS Instances
• Strong technical documentation and oral communication skills
• Understanding of DevSecOps concepts

Desired Knowledge:

Familiar with: GitLab, Kubernetes operations, DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (SRG), STIG checklists and implementation, IIS web servers, SQL Server Database
