Test Supervisor

Job Purpose:

The Test Supervisor is responsible for leading, supervising, and optimizing the testing operations for manufactured products to ensure they meet stringent quality standards, performance specifications, and production schedules. This role manages the activities of the team and is responsible for staffing decisions, training and development,and performance management of the staff.This role involves overseeing a team of test technicians, implementing robust testing procedures, troubleshooting issues, and driving continuous improvement in the manufacturing test processes.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:



  • Oversee the execution of various types of tests on manufactured products according to established test plans and procedures.
  • Monitor test progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to maintain production schedules.
  • Ensure accurate and consistent data collection from testing processes.
  • Works on issues of limited scope. Follows established practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
  • Monitors daily operations within the Test department.
  • Provides operational support in the test of final assemblies, complex subassemblies, and systems.
  • May interface with customers and suppliers on technical issues.
  • Supports development of new or optimizing existing processes utilizing Six Sigma tools.
  • Supports in developing standard operating procedures for operations group.
  • Supports group members' development plans and ensures effective succession planning.


Education and Experience:



  • Bachelors Degree or minimum 8 years related experience
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing preferred
  • Strong Computer skills, both MS Office and Google Suite
  • Excellent time management and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proactive and action oriented with proven ability to work with minimal supervision and direction
  • Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manufacturing specifications.

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
