Program: 1603- Housing Retention

Department: Permanent Housing

Location: Cloverfield Services Center - 1751 Cloverfield Blvd., Santa Monica, CA 90404

Setting: Not 100% Onsite

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm

Status: Full-time/Exempt/Non-Management

Job Description Summary:

The Clinical Supervisor provides training, mentoring and clinical supervision to Clinical Case Managers and Program Managers working towards licensure to ensure the provision of high-quality, integrated clinical services at The People Concern. This position is responsible for maintaining the highest quality services and efficiency of programming, while fostering teamwork and integration among staff working at the site.

Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Provide individual and group clinical supervision to unlicensed, clinical staff in adherence with BBS requirements.
  • Provide supervision and review of clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, assessments, and any other clinical documentation as it arises in the client record in adherence with PHS requirements.
  • Oversee effective referral and coordination of services with social services providers to ensure clinically-appropriate services are provided to clients whom are working with supervisees.
  • Oversee the screening and intake process and maintain appropriate documentation.
  • Provide interim clinical services to clients pending referral to long term mental health services.
  • Help develop, streamline, and update the intake process to provide timely and effective services to clients.
  • Monitor program enrollment and ensure delivery of services to all participants.
  • Provide leadership in clinical crises.
  • Provide crisis intervention to clients facing medical and mental health crises, including writing LPS 5150 holds.
  • Participate in The People Concern's clinical quality assurance program and ensure the implementation of quality improvement activities within the program to ensure ongoing quality outcomes.
  • Be available for triage assessments and intervention planning.
  • Provide consultation in weekly case conference meetings to ensure treatment goals are appropriate.
  • Attend meetings and conferences upon request and prepare a verbal and/or written summary to supervisor.
  • Assist Director in developing and delivering the day to day and overall training needs of the staff at the site.
  • Assist PSH Leadership in completing required reporting to the City of Santa Monica and Santa Monica Housing Authority as outlined by contract requirements.
  • Ensure all client paperwork and data collection is complete, timely, accurate, and current in agency records and electronic databases.
  • Provide input, evaluation, and policy updates regarding programs as requested to improve efficacy.



Job Description Qualifications:



  • Active, current license as an LCSW or MFT registered with the CA BBS, 2 years post licensure preferred.
  • Minimum two years' experience working with those living with mental illness and/or substance addictions, and homelessness post-licensure
  • Outstanding clinical and strong team-building skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and database applications
  • Detail oriented with excellent time management, organizational, written, verbal, interpersonal, and computer skills
  • Able to learn quickly and work effectively with a wide range of constituencies and with minimal supervision
  • Able to obtain and maintain CPR/ First Aid certification



Job Description Preferred Qualifications:



  • Minimum 35 WPM typing speed preferred.



Job Description Work Environment:


  • Field (may need to travel) and indoor office environment
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend; occasionally lift or carry up to 35 lbs.
  • On occasion walk or drive to different local sites.
  • Will necessitate working in busy and loud environments.
  • Will be exposed to elements like cold, heat, dust, noise and odor.
  • May need to bend, stoop, twist, and sit throughout the day.
