DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will assist and receive training from professional social services personnel in order to perform public contact work and help provide services to children, youth, and families who are involved with the agency. Your work will involve scheduling, transporting, and escorting clients to medical, dental, and other appointments and places including foster homes, court hearings, and for recreation purposes. You will also help by providing basic information, contacting clients who fail to keep appointments, and assisting clients and families with the everyday activities of living, home maintenance, and care. Additional responsibilities of this role include distributing and delivering equipment, clothing, and other belongings of clients, as well as supervising children during office visits and in crisis situations in the home. You will also perform routine clerical duties and maintain waiting and visiting rooms. With our team, you will help support clients' needs and progress in meeting established goals and objectives. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work hours on weekends if applicable.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Graduation from high school; or
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Bedford County. If no eligible candidates who live within Bedford County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
