Air Products has an immediate opening for a Tax Analyst at our Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The position focuses on U.S. tax reporting, compliance, and analysis. The Tax Analyst will also support compliance process improvement, tax automation, and tax modeling projects.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for the accurate preparation of the assigned portion of the U.S. Income Tax Return Form 1120 including Form 1065, Form 5471, Form 8858, Form 8865, and related elections and supporting schedules
  • Responsible for preparation of quarterly federal and state tax estimates
  • Assist with the preparation, analysis, and review of the quarterly income tax provision.
  • Provide support to senior tax planners on development, analysis, and implementation of tax planning projects
  • Provide support in response to U.S. tax audits
  • Research state tax issues
  • Develop expertise in using the Company's financial systems (SAP), tax software (Corptax), and other data tools (Alteryx)
  • Assist with International Tax compliance tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • Two (2) plus years proven experience in large multinational corporate tax environment and/or credible accounting firm preferred
  • The position requires a good working knowledge of USGAAP Accounting and U.S. tax principles
  • Strong data and analytical skills
  • Flexibility to operate in a fast-paced, complex environment
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team; with a curiosity and desire to learn
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience using the Corptax Income Tax compliance software is beneficial
  • Should be experienced in using the Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Word and Excel)

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
  • Master's in Taxation, preferred
