 General Description The Electrical Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical components within asphalt plants and aggregate crushing facilities.  Key Duties 
 
  
 -  Installation, troubleshooting, and maintaining PLC's, HMI interfaces, motors, drives, other electrical components.
 -  Test and repair of various electrical equipment.
 -  Assist in facility startup and new equipment installations.
 -  Involvement in the planning and execution of new wiring installations or upgrades.
 -  Work with facility staff and mechanical department to create more operator friendly and robust systems.
 -  Ability to effectively work within and maintain company safety standards and policies.
 -  Other duties as assigned
 
  
 
 
 
Qualification Requirements

 - Education and Experience. This position is not typically an entry-level role as it requires basic electrical knowledge. 
 
  
 
   
  - Minimum of one (13) to three (3) years of experience troubleshooting electrical/mechanical systems is required.
 - Must have a safety and quality focused mindset.
 - Journeyman or master electrician license is preferred.
 - Must be familiar with and understand National Electric Code standards.
 - Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
 - Willingness to learn new processes and ability to teach facility personnel.
 
   
  
  
 - Physical Demands. The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an Electrical Maintenance Technician to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 
 
  
 
   
  - Regularly required to sit and/or stand during a regular work shift of at least eight hours per day.
 - Employee is occasionally required to stoop, bend, walk, crouch, and climb.
 - Ability to lift, on a frequent basis, at least 25 pounds and carry up to 15 pounds.
 - Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
 - Continuous mental attention required to complete tasks in an efficient manner.
 - Exposure to dust, dirt grease and noise.
 - Frequently walk on uneven surfaces, including natural ground and slopes in varying weather conditions.
 - Must be able to work a flexible schedule, based on project need(s) and demand(s). 
 
   
  
  
 
  
 - Work Environment. The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those that an Electrical Maintenance Technician encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. 
 
  
 
   
  - Work is performed indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
 - Must be able to work flexible and long hours as required.
 - Work environment periodically exposes the employees to high levels of noise, grease, and dust that is typically associated with a construction site.
 - Employee regularly works near heavy equipment and moving machinery.
 - Work may involve a variety of substances commonly found on a construction site such as oil, grease, curing compounds, gasoline, diesel fuel and asphalt.
