Salary: $76,000-$81,000

Tuttleman Counseling Services (TCS) has a deep commitment to promoting inclusion and the affirmation of diverse identities and provides excellent service to Temple student users of counseling services, and administrative support to a large professional staff of physicians, psychologists, social workers, and professionals in training. TCS provides culturally sensitive mental health services that support the psychological health of the diverse community of Temple students and thereby their academic success. This role contributes to a positive university experience for every Temple student, especially those located on the Health Sciences Center.

The Staff Clinician for Tuttleman Counseling Services at the Health Sciences Center (TCS at HSC) is a generalist clinical position who reports to the Associate Director for Tuttleman Counseling Services at the Health Sciences Center (TCS at HSC). As part of their clinical responsibilities at TCS, the Staff Clinician provides initial consultation assessments for Temple students in the professional schools represented at the Health Sciences Center to assess the level of acuity of student presenting concerns and the type of services that can support the student. They provide individual, group, and couples counseling, as well as family consultation, as needed, to Temple students, as well as provides referrals to appropriate on and off-campus resources. The Staff Clinician for TCS at HSC also participates on the counselor-on-duty rotation providing urgent assessment and consultation to HSC students, staff, and faculty. The Staff Clinician also assists TCS at HSC in providing crisis intervention services that may include participation in critical incident stress management interventions after traumatic incidents impacting the University community. Provides supervision to graduate level clinical trainees and other unlicensed TCS staff members, as needed, and conducts didactic seminars as part of the counseling center's training program. In addition, the Staff Clinician leads psycho-education programming for students, conducts orientations to the counseling center for incoming and other students, and provides consultation to counseling center staff, students, parents, and various other offices and staff throughout the University; and may serve on divisional or University-wide committees. The Staff Clinician assists in the recruitment, selection, and training of clinical practicum students, interns, and post-graduate fellows, as well as full-time staff members when vacancies occur. The Staff Clinician will need to work two evenings per week year-round and will ensure adequate in-person office coverage for the department. Performs other duties as assigned.
This is a full-time, 12-month position.

This is a hybrid position (on-campus and remote).

Required Education and Experience
Master's degree in psychology or social work with licensure (LPC or LCSW) in the state of Pennsylvania or Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology and licensure (or license eligible). Unlicensed candidates may be considered with the expectation of attainment of licensure in Pennsylvania within one year of hire for continued employment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities
*Demonstrated ability to provide group, individual, couples, and family counseling.
*Ability to provide consultation to TCS staff, TCS trainees, administration, faculty, staff, students, and families regarding mental health issues.
*Willingness to provide Critical Incident Stress management debriefing and other interventions for traumatized community members.
*Ability to provide clinical supervision to trainees and other staff, as needed.
*Ability to provide training in areas of expertise for the department's didactic seminar for doctoral interns and other forums.
*Ability to assist in the hiring of new staff and the selection of trainees.
*Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, along with the ability to work independently and efficiently.
*Ability to participate as part of a counselor-on-duty rotation providing urgent assessments and consultation to students, staff, and faculty.
*Ability to facilitate transports for emergency psychiatric evaluations to local emergency facilities.
*Ability to assist in the orientation of new and transfer students to Temple University and to counseling center services.
*Ability to manage multiple collaborative projects and systems in a fast-paced environment.
*Established commitment to multicultural competencies and cultural humility.
*Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team and sensitivity to cross-cultural issues, with a supportive approach to colleagues.
*Experience providing time-limited and/or short-term clinical services.

Preferred
*Experience with content areas and treatment modalities common to a college counseling center setting, including eating disorders and trauma-informed care
*Previous experience with the use of electronic medical records (e.g. Titanium)
*Previous experience working in a college counseling center setting.
*Prior experience with the delivery of short-term, solution-focused clinical services.
