Temple University's Tuttleman Counseling Center is searching for a Staff Clinician. TCS provides culturally sensitive mental health services that support the psychological health of the diverse community of Temple students and thereby their academic success. This role contributes to a positive university experience for every Temple student, especially those located on the Health Sciences Center. The Staff Clinician for Tuttleman Counseling Services at the Health Sciences Center (TCS at HSC) is a generalist clinical position who reports to the Associate Director for Tuttleman Counseling Services at the Health Sciences Center (TCS at HSC). As part of their clinical responsibilities at TCS, the Staff Clinician provides initial consultation assessments for Temple students in the professional schools represented at the Health Sciences Center to assess the level of acuity of student presenting concerns and the type of services that can support the student. They provide individual, group, and couples counseling, as well as family consultation, as needed, to Temple students, as well as provides referrals to appropriate on and off-campus resources. The Staff Clinician for TCS at HSC also participates on the counselor-on-duty rotation providing urgent assessment and consultation to HSC students, staff, and faculty. The Staff Clinician also assists TCS at HSC in providing crisis intervention services that may include participation in critical incident stress management interventions after traumatic incidents impacting the University community. Provides supervision to graduate level clinical trainees and other unlicensed TCS staff members, as needed, and conducts didactic seminars as part of the counseling center's training program. In addition, the Staff Clinician leads psycho-education programming for students, conducts orientations to the counseling center for incoming and other students, and provides consultation to counseling center staff, students, parents, and various other offices and staff throughout the University; and may serve on divisional or University-wide committees. The Staff Clinician assists in the recruitment, selection, and training of clinical practicum students, interns, and post-graduate fellows, as well as full-time staff members when vacancies occur. The Staff Clinician will need to work two evenings per week year-round and will ensure adequate in-person office coverage for the department. Performs other duties as assigned. This is a hybrid position (on-campus and remote).
