Empire Distributors Inc, A Leading Beverage Distributor is now hiring a Retail Wine Sales Manager. Our company offers excellent benefits, competitive wages, and the potential for growth opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Manages sales activities of the Retail Sales Department to achieve specified sales quotas by performing the following duties.
Coaches and enforces the seven basics: distribution, position, display, pricing, point-of-sale, cold box, and rotation in each account.
Communicates and monitors Company objectives and expectations through staffing, training, and performance evaluations.
Maintains and improves market conditions through Retail Sales Representatives in the execution of sales programs and the building of brands.
Coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.
Reviews weekly sales performance to monitor gross profit and case sales.
Implements and tracks all monthly sales programs and incentives.
Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discounted rates.
Assists in assigning sales territory to Retail Sales Representatives.
Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and assist customers in promoting sales.
Directs product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from sales line.
Conducts market surveys.
Interacts with suppliers through work-withs, dinners, and trade functions.
Represents the Company at trade association meetings and special events to promote product.
Meets with key clients, assisting Retail Sales Representatives with maintaining relationships, delivering sales presentations, and negotiating and closing deals.
Coordinates liaison between Retail Sales Department and other Company Departments.
Analyzes and controls expenditures of department to conform to budgetary requirements.
Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed expansion.
Continually maintains training and product knowledge.
Directs product research and development.
Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises all Sales Representatives in the Retail Spirits Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of SAP Business software, Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software; Microsoft Word Processing software; Explorer Internet software; Microsoft Outlook and PowerPoint.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • State ABC license, valid driver's license
