Primary Responsibilities:
HDR's Network Engineer will: provide engineering and system administration of local and enterprise-wide production data and voice network systems; provide first- and second-level problem resolution of production systems; perform day-to-day maintenance tasks for production systems; review and analyze system modifications/patches; assist with analysis of existing technology solutions to ensure system stability, reliability, and predictability; assist with analysis and design of new technology solutions under guidance and direction of Senior Network Administrator, Team Leads or Technology Consultants; participate in support of tasks on technology projects under direction of a Senior Network Administrator, Team Leads or Technology Consultant; evaluate and define specifications to be used in support of production environment; develop technology standards and specifications for use by systems administrators; review system logs and reports and take corrective action to resolve anomalies; conduct technology implementation tasks with limited review required by higher-level technical/managerial staff; perform technology evaluations, testing and design tasks in support of new or upgraded technologies for enterprise-wide infrastructure systems; and perform other related duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
A Master's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical or engineering field (foreign equivalent accepted) and 3 years' experience in administration and support of technology systems or a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical or engineering field (foreign equivalent accepted) and 5 years' experience in administration and support of technology systems.
Required experience must include experience in: designing and implementing WAN/LAN Network infrastructures; enterprise-wide production data and voice network systems; and data center device configuration, implementation, and troubleshooting.
Must be proficient in the following technical skills, tools, and technologies:
Network Security: Cisco ASA Firewalls, Cisco Pix, IPSEC, AAA and TACACS.
Routers and Voice Gateways: Cisco 7600, 7200, 4331, 2921, 3925, VG 310, VG224.
Switches: 3560, 3750, 4500, Cisco catalyst switches, 9300, 9410 and Nexus 5K, 7K, 9K.
Networking Protocols: OSI, TCP/IP, UDP, TCP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP(S), SMTP, WAN, BGP, OSPF.
Networking Tools: Wireshark, Akips, Ethereal, Solar Winds, Putty.
Voice Protocols: H.323, SIP, MGCP, SCCP.
Server Maintenance: Active Directory, TFTP, DHCP, VMWare.
Load Balancer: F5 Networks Big IP, LTM, GTM.
Cisco UC Products: Cisco Unified Communications Manager (7.X to 13.X), Cisco Unity Connection (7.X to 13.X), UCCE, Cisco Contact Center Express, and Session border controller, Call Manager Express, Cisco WebEx, Cisco IM&P, Cisco Jabber.
Cisco UC devices: Cisco IP Phones 79XX, 89XX, 99XX, CIPC, Jabber, Analog Devices.
