Electronic Warfare/Electromagnetic Spectrum (EW/EMS) Team Lead

Location: Hampton, VA

Minimum Clearance Required: Top Secret with SCI/SAP eligibility

As an Electronic Warfare/Electromagnetic Spectrum (EW/EMS) Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing and guiding a team of EW/EMS Specialists while ensuring compliance with contract and government requirements. This role combines leadership and subject matter expertise in electromagnetic warfare and spectrum operations, including support for readiness reporting, policy development, training programs, and strategic planning across JEMSO, JADC2, and Information Warfare domains. The Team Lead also serves as the primary point of contact for contract performance and contributes directly to EW/EMS mission execution.

Who You Are and What You Need:



  • Bachelor's degree in related field required
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of operational mission experience as rated aircrew operating EW Systems in DoD aircraft
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of operational experience integrating EW, cyber, Informational Operations, space and ISR effects
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience managing DoD aircraft EW Systems or related operations programs
  • Minimum of three (3) years of staff experience managing EW and EMS programs at the Wing level or higher
  • Must be a graduate of 563rd Flying Training Squadron (Randolph), 453rd Flying Training Squadron (Mather), or 79th Flying Training Group (Pensacola)



What You Will Do:



  • Manage the activities, schedules, and priorities of EW/EMS Specialist, articulate goals for their performance, and perform other general administrative efforts to ensure Government requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with and coach EW/EMS Specialist to resolve problems.
  • Ensure all Contractor personnel performing on this contract conform to the policy of their assigned office regarding dress code, professional appearance, and general office behavior.
  • Coordinate with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) as the primary focal point for contract performance.
  • Perform duties of EW/EMS Specialist to include but not limited to:

    • Utilize enterprise information-sharing tools (e.g., SharePoint, TMT, CAFDEx) and maintain internal systems, including Microsoft Outlook and SharePoint sites, office continuity repositories, travel schedules, and special projects.
    • Manage official/classified media and perform records management in accordance with regulatory guidance.
    • Support the development, coordination, and execution of policies and operations related to Air Expeditionary Force (AEF), Global Force Management (GFM), deployments, and readiness reporting (e.g., DRRS, SORTS, UTCs, DOC statements, METs, GFMAP, DEPORDs).
    • Provide deliberate and crisis action planning through systems like JOPES and DCAPES.
    • Develop and sustain policies for EW/EMS training devices and simulators, coordinate SIMCERT programs, and contribute to training development (e.g., IQT, RAP, TTLs).
    • Support coordination across stakeholders-including FAMs, WSTs, PMs, and SPOs-on EW/EMS programs and participate in exercises with joint forces, document lessons learned.
    • Assist in the development of EW/EMS academic training, range integration, reprogramming priorities, and modernization initiatives.
    • Engage in planning and policy efforts related to JEMSO, JADC2, EMBM, and broader Information Warfare (e.g., Cyber, ISR, IO, Space EW).
    • Draft and review operational guidance, technical manuals, AFIs, and TTPs; manage capability development strategies; support training and career field health; and contribute to cross-agency sustainment planning.
    • Prepare inputs for high-level reviews (e.g., JROC/JCIDS) and report directly to the EW/EMS Team Lead for day-to-day tasking.
