Are you ready to make a significant impact by supporting critical national security infrastructure? T-Rex Solutions is looking for a highly skilled Senior Web Services Engineer to join our dynamic team at Ft. Meade, MD in support of the Intelligence Community.

Responsibilities:



  • Installation and Configuration: Install and configure web server software (e.g., Apache, Nginx, IIS) and related components.
  • Maintenance and Upgrades: Regularly update and patch web servers to ensure they are secure and performing optimally.
  • Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) by proactively identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and potential issues.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect web servers from threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Manage backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability in case of server failure.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and policies.
  • Work closely with development and IT teams to support web application deployments and ensure smooth operation.
  • Provide support to users and developers for web server-related issues and inquiries.
  • Manage and resolve support tickets in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring user satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline server management tasks.
  • Ensure that web server operations comply with organizational policies and industry standards.
  • Maintain compliance with DISA (Defense Information Systems Agency) standards and guidelines.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's and 14 years of related experience or 19 years of related experience without a degree.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with monitoring tools and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Red Hat System Administrator (RHSA), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, DNS, SSL/TLS, and web security practices.
  • Security + Certification
  • Active TS/SCI w/ FSP required.

In compliance with pay transparency guidelines, the annual base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $180,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. T-Rex considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
