Job Summary

Provide support to the Nursing Program in maintaining program assessment processes, ensuring clinical compliance, coordinating scheduling, and upholding regulatory standards.

This is a grant funded position through June 2026.


Essential Duties

Primary administrative support for the daily operations of the nursing program, including but not limited to coordination of Jumpstart, orientation, pinning ceremonies, search committees, advisory board meetings, and faculty assemblies.

Responsible for maintaining the clinical compliance spreadsheet for all nursing students, ensuring ongoing student compliance with clinical requirements, and working directly with students to help them achieve and maintain compliance. Collaborates with the Nursing Clinical Coordinator to ensure the timely and accurate processing of student clinical paperwork required by clinical facilities.

Develop, implement, and regularly review systems and procedures to ensure the effective administration of the Program following TCC's Strategic Plan and Vision. Provides project management support for ongoing nursing initiatives, grants, and professional development events/ programming.

Collaborates with the Nursing Program Director to develop and implement a student-friendly course schedule and permits complaint students for enrollment into nursing courses.

Serve as the Nursing Program's first point of contact for college-related requests of personnel in the program, answering questions, directing inquiries as needed, troubleshooting, and working to develop solutions. Coordinates and communicates the nursing program's calendar of events, ensuring timely dissemination of information to faculty, staff, and students.

Utilizes databases and student records to develop, maintain, and coordinate essential data for accreditation compliance, including pass rates, completion rates, and job placement statistics. Assists the program in collecting information for student surveys and supports the analysis and interpretation of data required for reporting and compliance purposes.


Minimum Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent education in Business Administration, Management, Communications, or a related field. Degree requirement may be substituted with relevant and equivalent work experience.

1 year of related experience, preferably in higher education.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Problem solving abilities.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Ability to sit or stand at the workstation for extended periods.

Frequent use of hands for typing, filing, and handling documents.

Ability to lift supplies or boxes up to 25 pounds.

Ability to complete duties primarily performed in a professional office environment within the SoHS; exposure to standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, copiers, and filing systems.

Frequent interaction with faculty, staff, students, and the public.

Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
