Jefferson Health is seeking an experienced Academic Colorectal Surgeon to join our high-volume, collaborative team. This faculty position offers a blend of clinical care, teaching, and research at a nationally recognized academic medical center.

Opportunity Overview:

• Join a high-volume colorectal surgery and endoscopy practice with a well-established team of 3 surgeons and 1 nurse practitioner.
  • Minimally invasive surgery (MIS) focused practice, strict laparoscopic, robotic and TAMIS
  • MIS operative suites with access to 9 Robots, Xi Dual-console robots and Single-site at main campus

• Close collaboration with Gastroenterology (including advanced-GI) as well as multiple regional Gastroenterologists throughout Jefferson's Health system
• Participation in General Surgery resident education
• Participation in Colorectal Surgery fellowship program
• Weekly colorectal tumor board/educational conference
• Regional quaternary referral center in addition to busy established in-system referral base
• Work in conjunction with other subspecialists (Surgical Oncology, Gynecologic Oncology, Urogynecology and Urology).
• Call is 1:4

Qualifications

• Board Certified/Eligible in General Surgery and Colon & Rectal Surgery
• Minimum 3 years post-fellowship clinical experience preferred
• Proven track record of academic achievement preferred
• Academic productivity and teaching experience preferred
• Patient focused and committed to providing outstanding and compassionate care and service to all patients
