Job Details Scheduling of patients for medical services/specialty office. Answering high volume of phone calls for patients medical questions and routing them to appropriate staff within the department. Schedule established and new patient appointments according to physician and other appointment templates and patient needs/wishes. Gather all relevant information for new patients and register patient in the EPIC EMR system Assure that appropriate visit types are used Schedule appointment with appropriate physician Pre-Registration of all new patients including but not limited to the following: Run patients eligibility through RTE Demographic Information Insurance Information Confirmation of Co - Pay or Deductible payment due at time of service Listen to patient concerns and route messages to appropriate team. Contact clinical team for urgent matters to ensure appropriate patient care. Assist with bump lists when there are changes in physician schedules by reaching out to patients and rescheduling as necessary. Work in the inbasket; reaching out to patients and scheduling/rescheduling as needed. Send information to other departments as needed Coordinate and mail, email or fax new patient information packets as needed Obtaining patient e-mail addresses and promoting Jefferson's patient portal (mychart) and facilitating activation.
