LFS, Inc. was established in 1967 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Trident Seafoods. Our corporate headquarters is in Bellingham, WA and we have three year-round locations in Washington State: Bellingham, Seattle, and Poulsbo. LFS also has five year-round locations in Alaska: Anchorage, Cordova, Dutch Harbor, Homer (Kachemak Gear Shed), and Sitka; and two seasonal locations in Dillingham and Naknek. While our core business is supplying the commercial fishing industry, we have evolved to include industrial and sports netting sales, hydraulic sales and services, wholesale/industrial sales, recreational marine and outdoor sales, and internet sales.

Summary:

Assists the Sales Team with quoting, sourcing, and ordering products for their customers. Facilitate entering sales orders and processing invoices for these customers. Acts as a customer service representative for sales calls and a liaison between customers and the sales team. Works with Purchasing and Distribution to ensure orders are processed accurately.

  • Works directly with the sales team on customer inquiries regarding pricing, availability, and delivery.
  • Pays attention to details!
  • Help coordinate sales calls and follow up with customers.
  • Create and updates price sheets, spreadsheets, promotional handouts, and other sales information as needed.
  • Handle emails and incoming calls for customers.
  • Acts as liaison for salesperson with Purchasing and Distribution to ensure products are ordered, received, and shipped in a timely manner.
  • Processes estimates, sales orders, and invoices for the sales team
  • Receive and verify customer complaints to resolve issues and foster a good working relationship with customers.
  • Research sources of and pricing for new products.
  • Works with Purchasing to enter new products into the inventory file.
  • May occasionally work in the warehouse to ensure delivery/shipping deadlines are met.
  • Effective communication skills are essential to be successful in this job.
  • Strong project management, time management and organizational skills needed.
  • Need a team player - someone that is willing to learn and pays attention to detail.
  • Is self-motivated to do a fantastic job!

Pay range is $21-$23 per hour.

This is a full time year round benefited position - no housing or transportation is provided.

Minimum Requirements

Required Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs)

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service role.
  • Education: High School diploma or general education degree plus one to three years' experience or equivalent training and experience.

Preferred education and experience

  • Associate degree in business, supply chain management, inventory management or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience working in the commercial fishing industry.

Work environment: Office and Warehouse environments. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use a computer and telephone; talk and hear; communicate in English.
