Certara is currently seeking a professional and experienced Program Manager to support Commercial organization. The Program Manager will be accountable for leading, consulting and participating directly in moderately complex to complex initiatives with business unit deliverables requiring large-scale planning related outcomes within the Commercial organization.

This role is ultimately responsible for delivery solutions to meet our Commercial organizational business unit goals. The successful PM is responsible for initiating, reviewing, analyzing and tracking cross-functional initiatives with challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors and involvement of a wide array of stakeholders across multiple functions.

Position Summary:

The Program Manager will consult with key points of contact to meet initiative deliverables while employing solid understandings of the various functions, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. The Program Managerwill be accountable for reporting out and providing value creation initiative summaries on an established cadence.

The successful Program Manager will provide consultative, practical, and hands-on participation that supports both the software and services commercial entities. This PM will organize a roadmap of programs/projects and while driving to completion, proactively listen to stakeholder needs and address them through a process of continuous improvement.

The selected candidate will be expected to work primarily Eastern Standard hours, but must be flexible to work during EMEA and APAC time zones as needed given the global nature of the Commercial business unit.


Responsibilities

  • Ensure activities are accurately maintained in our systems of record, including status updates, linkage to roadmaps, alongside driving teams to accurately maintain their updates/findings in key platforms and/or identified systems
  • Coach teams and lead planning and execution activities across teams, ensuring alignment and continuous improvement activities
  • Understand the underlying team dynamics, help remove blockers and allow the team to operate smoothly
  • Be able to coalesce the day-to-day, on-the-ground team behavior into a concise, clear story of how they are doing, where their challenges lie, and what strategies we should employ to improve
  • Escalate risks and drive towards solutions that mitigate risks proactively
  • Working knowledge of sales performance management solutions (ex. Salesforce, Highspot, Hubspot, Confluence etc.) is highly desired alongside
  • Experience (s) working in an Agile environment specific to a high-growth business environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or technology related field. Candidates with equitable related years of experience to a degree will be considered
  • 7 - 10 years relevant experience in project or program management role. S&M experience is a plus
  • 2 years' experience managing the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in an agile environment is a huge asset, but not required
  • Experience in change management methodologies (preferably Prosci ADKAR)
  • Experience interfacing and engaging directly with senior and executive stakeholders both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to speak, listen, and write in a clear, thorough, and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques
  • Proven experience developing comprehensive project plans when leading/managing enterprise-wide programs and technically focused projects deliverables. Ability to set priorities, track work, and be transparent.
  • PMP certification and/or experience within a PMO is an asset
