TylerUnion's main manufacturing facility is located in Anniston, AL. TheSenior Human Resources Generalistsupports Tyler Union's people strategy by executing a wide range of HR functions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include the following.
- Champion and comply with all aspects of the Tyler Union Safety Management Program, report deviations promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive HR and employee information.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees, providing guidance on HR matters.
- Keep management informed of HR trends and developments affecting operations.
- Interpret and communicate HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
- Advise managers on policy application and regulatory compliance.
- Support employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Lead onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Manage employee lifecycle transactions and reporting through the HRIS.
- Develop and maintain HR dashboards and metrics to support data-driven decisions.
- Visible presence on the plant floor to support and engage team members.
- Conduct and document investigations into employee concerns.
- Administer benefit programs including insurance, retirement, and leave.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for exempt and non-exempt roles.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., Title VII, FLSA, FMLA, ADA).
- Support training and development initiatives, including compliance and leadership training.
- Participate in internal and external HR audits and ensure compliance readiness.
Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field required.
- Five years' human resources experience, experience in heavy manufacturing preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of employment laws (Title VII, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Experience withHRIS systems; ability to generate reports.
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certificationpreferred
