FOX is seeking a highly polished, proactive, and experienced Senior Receptionist to serve as the primary ambassador for our New York headquarters. This pivotal role requires a seasoned professional to manage complex reception operations, provide executive-level support, and ensure seamless coordination across various departments. The Senior Receptionist will be the central point of contact for high-profile visitors, executives, and internal teams, embodying the professionalism and efficiency expected within a leading media organization.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Front Desk Operations & Leadership:

    • Oversee and optimize all front desk operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient flow for all incoming calls and visitors.

    • Develop and implement best practices for call handling, visitor management, and reception area upkeep.

  • Executive & VIP Support:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for announcing and greeting executives and high-profile guests visiting the C-Suite & Studio Operations.

    • Provide exceptional and discreet support to FOX executives, visitors, and internal teams, anticipating their needs and proactively addressing them.

    • Manage sensitive information with the utmost discretion and confidentiality.

  • Advanced Communication & Coordination:

    • Expertly answer and direct incoming calls from the main phone line, utilizing a multi-line switchboard system with advanced proficiency.

    • Act as the central "Info Booth," possessing an in-depth knowledge of department contacts across Security, Facilities, Engineering, and other key areas to efficiently direct inquiries.

    • Proactively maintain and update complex calendars for company events, building notices, and holidays, identifying and resolving potential conflicts.

    • Build strong professional relationships with Security team at reception desk to ensure the highest level of support.

    • Coordinate intricate visitor check-ins, rigorously enforcing security protocols and ensuring a welcoming yet secure environment.

  • Brand Awareness:

    • Adept at recognizing executives, on-air personalities, and guests of multi-platform programming.

  • Administrative Excellence:

    • Record and maintain detailed, accurate logs of calls, messages, and visitor interactions for reporting and analytical purposes.

    • Provide high-level administrative support to executive and administrative teams, including scheduling and special projects.

    • Ensure the reception area consistently maintains an impeccable appearance and professional atmosphere.

  • Customer Service & Problem Solving:

    • Consistently deliver professional, customer-first service, even in high-pressure or high-profile situations.

    • Proactively identify and resolve operational issues at the front desk, escalating complex problems to management when necessary.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in a high-volume receptionist, executive administrative assistant, or senior front desk role, preferably within a major media, broadcast or entertainment environment.

  • Advanced proficiency in operating multi-line phone systems and complex call switchboard operations, including advanced call routing and conferencing features.

  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and diplomatic skills, with a proven ability to interact confidently and effectively with all levels of staff, executives, and high-profile guests.

  • Superior organizational and time management skills, with the ability to expertly juggle multiple competing priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment, anticipate needs, and take initiative.

  • Unwavering discretion and dependability, with extensive experience handling highly sensitive and confidential information.

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with calendar management and scheduling software.

  • Proven ability to remain calm, composed, and effective under pressure, particularly in high-visibility or crisis situations.

  • Professional demeanor and polished presentation are essential

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $33.66-38.47 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
