Job Functions:

  • Supports the analysis, recommendation, and integration of artificial intelligence-powered systems.
  • Deploys and maintains AI-powered applications that support legal workflows.
  • Supports the design, development, and operation of IT solutions and systems.
  • Supports the Firm's cloud and on-premises environments, including applications, infrastructure, and general maintenance.
  • Works closely with the Enterprise Architecture Manager and IT Operations Director to:
    1. Oversee IT service delivery with respect to infrastructure, including service design, service operation, and continuous service improvement.
    2. Develop, implement, and maintain operational technology strategies, policies, and standards.
    3. Develop and implement business continuity plans, documentation, and procedures, including regular reviews and real-world tests.
  • Collects core system metrics to develop and implement improvement plans based on data analysis.
  • Partners with the Enterprise Architecture Manager and other stakeholders to improve operational procedures, IT processes, and the security and performance of existing systems.
  • Communicates and collaborates with other departments to report and resolve software, hardware, and operational issues.
  • Researches and evaluates new technologies. Identifies and recommends solutions to make operations more efficient.
  • Provides 24x7 On-Call support and problem triage for IT services on a rotating basis.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of related IT experience focusing on supporting business-critical IT engineering in a professional services environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Experience or strong interest in AI-powered tools (Copilot, Perplexity, etc.) and LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
  • Excellent written skills to help create effective LLM prompts in a legal context.
  • Knowledge in leveraging REST APIs, SDKs, and/or SQL interactions.
  • Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or comparable languages and experience with machine learning (ML) libraries and tools preferred.
  • The ideal candidate will also have proven experience working with technologies currently in use at the Firm, including Active Directory (Group Policy, DNS, DHCP), Windows and Linux OS, Microsoft 365, Azure, VMWare, Nutanix, Cohesity, Microsoft SQL, and automation tools.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud services, virtualization, hyper-converged technologies, and networking.
  • Experience with deployment, configuration, and management of on-premises systems.
  • Demonstrated analytical capability in solving new and complex problems.
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic environment, independently, and in a team setting.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently while having good judgment when consultation is required.
  • Ability to set priorities and complete diverse assignments on a timely basis.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills.
