About The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Corporate Affairs spearheads external communications for WeWork's priority region, the United States and Canada, while working closely with the global communications team to shape corporate and product messaging, executive thought leadership, public affairs, and strategic partnerships.

This role is pivotal in driving WeWork's communications strategy, solidifying the company's reputation as a leader in the future of work and commercial real estate. This individual manages high-profile initiatives, cultivates key media relationships, supports internal communications initiatives and amplifies successful member stories. The role requires strong strategic thinking, exceptional communication skills, and expertise in stakeholder engagement.

In this role, you will work with the Head of Global Communications to develop and lead/execute comprehensive external communications plans for USC-based corporate, sales, real estate, product and overall brand initiatives. You will contribute to key internal communications moments and provide strategic support, while also adapting external communications content for internal channels.

Corporate & Brand Communications

  • Develops and executes comprehensive and proactive external communications plans for global and USC-based corporate and brand and product initiatives

  • Drafts compelling press releases, pitches, talking points, and other materials. Manages media relationships, secures interviews, and prepares spokespeople, notably Regional President, USC-based General Managers, and real estate team.

  • Contributes to building core company messaging and narrative, adapting it for diverse audiences. Distills complex topics into clear and concise communications for media, customers, and stakeholders.

Executive Positioning & Thought Leadership

  • Contributes to CEO and executive communications strategies, and leads thought leadership campaigns for Regional Presidents and General Managers. Facilitates on-the-record, background and off-record reporter conversations for executives.

  • Elevates executive profiles by preparing them for speaking opportunities and developing compelling presentations.

Sales and Real Estate Communications

  • Leads communications plans for USC-based sales and real estate initiatives (building openings/closures, landlord partnerships, deal announcements, etc.) and supports global projects.

  • Develops and distributes global communications to landlord audiences. Leads the production of a quarterly, global landlord newsletter.

  • Drafts communications for broker audiences and provides speaking points for executives. Consults on the sales/marketing broker newsletter.

Member Communications

  • Develops and executes strategies to highlight member success stories and build brand advocacy.

  • Identifies and cultivates relationships with members for storytelling opportunities and creates communications plans to share member stories through media outreach.

  • Creates and manages member communications templates for building exits and updates. Crafts bespoke communications for unique building exit scenarios. Develops crisis communications plans and supports crisis response efforts.

Miscellaneous

  • Supports team organization and development.

  • Coaches and mentors direct reports.

  • Manages PR agency relationships (when applicable).

  • Oversees and approves external case study participation.

About You

  • 6+ years of experience in corporate communications, PR, or public affairs, ideally within dynamic, high-growth industries.

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, global environments with evolving priorities.

  • Demonstrated expertise in both proactive media engagement and reactive crisis response.

  • Strong writing and storytelling skills across formats (press releases, op-eds, speeches, etc.).

  • Experience supporting senior leaders, managing media relations, and leading communications campaigns.

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and translate complex topics into compelling, accessible messaging.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Pay:$127,500 to $170,000 annually

Incentive Compensation:WeWork employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan specific to their role. Your recruiter will detail what incentive plan is applicable to this specific role. WeWork incentive plans are subject to the terms of the applicable incentive compensation plan, which will be made available to you after commencing employment. WeWork reserves the right to amend its incentive plans, and nothing in this job requisition or any other document creates a right to a specific incentive plan payment.

Benefits:Full-time employees are eligible for comprehensive benefits (subject to the terms of applicable plans/policies/agreements, which will be made available to you after commencing employment), including: 20 days of PTO, approximately 13 paid holidays, and 80 hours of paid sick time per full calendar year; 16 weeks paid parental leave; competitive healthcare benefits; 401k plan; and life and AD&D insurance.
