Position Summary

The Route Settlement Clerk will work with Driver upon their return to base. They will collect all delivery tickets and all Driver end of day paperwork. Must reconcile Driver Dock sheets, Cash receipts and checks. This position requires an individual with good people skills, capable of effective problem-solving ability and organizational skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Driving Company Performance

  • Match cases returned on dock sheet to the end of day processes. Work on any discrepancies with the Driver.
  • Review final stock reconciliation - Check for missing or extra product to make sure driver did not make an error and product was either over sold, short and invoiced properly.
  • Review unserved customers, make sure all stops have been completed. If there stop that has not been done, which you would have more than an unusual product coming back. Question the driver as to why so many stops were not completed.
  • Review all customers that must pay COD. Make sure they paid and report any discrepancies to A/R. Fix incorrect payments and payments that were not entered.
  • Review route activity log. Re-enter voided invoices or create new sales invoices. Fix or enter payments.
  • Check final deposit report. If all cash and checks are entered correctly. View route activity log as a reference. Download driver handheld information.
  • Check school tickets to make sure all schools are delivered, and tickets signed. Let Operations know if any school was not done or was short of product.
  • Apply sales payments to COD Customers and send charge payments to A/R.
  • Occasionally, order office supplies.

1-2 years of experience working with people in a fast-paced environment

Education

High School diploma or GED

Technical Knowledge

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills

  • Critical thinking abilities
  • Proficient in MS office with proven experience in data entry

Compensation

  • Pay is $21.00 - $24.00 per experience
