We're seeking a future team member for the role of AV Engineer to join our Workplace Experience team. This role is in Pittsburgh, PA -4 days in office required. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
- Responsible for the architecture, design and implementation of BNY virtual meeting platforms including but not limited to Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex, Zoom
- Accountable for colleague experience platforms including Appspace and TriplePlay as well as live event and streaming technologies.
- Perform technical reviews and drive use of new and evolving technologies to improve colleague meeting workplace, and virtual meeting experiences.
- Participate in troubleshooting technical issues on an escalation basis.
- Build and maintain relationships with colleagues and senior leaders across BNY to bring industry insights, thought leadership, and technical expertise for audio, video, intelligent workspaces and live video production technologies.
- Foster relationships with key external partners and vendors to investigate emergining and strategic technologies
- Research and design complex AV systems with a focus on ease of use and colleague experience.
- Develop standards, best practices, and standard operating procedures to drive operational excellence and consistency of colleague experiences across all BNY locations.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred10-12 years of related experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience administering and operating video solutions leveraging Cisco UCM, Expressway, Webex, RoomOS, SIP, RTMP and HLS.
- Foundational knowledge of networking including TCP/IP, DHCP, routing & switching, multicast, firewalls, certificates, encryption, proxy servers and QoS.
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills and the ability to influence others, gain alignment, and secure support.
- Willingness to take ownership with a hands-on approach to solve problems.
- Highly organized with outstanding attention to detail, and the ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Financial or other regulated industry experience preferred.
- Ability to work non-standard hours as required.
