Overview Bonus Options: up to $20,000 (Paid out as stipends every 90 days) Employment Type: Full Time (8 hour Shift) Shifts Available: Days Hours: 8am to 4:30pm Location: St. Mary's Medical Center- Blue Springs, MO A Cath Lab Registered Nurse plays a crucial role in the cardiac catheterization lab, focusing on the care of patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures. Their primary responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures such as angioplasties and stint placements, monitoring vital signs, and administering medications. They work closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth execution of procedures, maintaining sterile environments, and managing any complications that might arise. Additionally, Cath Lab RNs provide pre- and post-procedure education and support to patients and their families, ensuring they understand the process and recovery steps. Their expertise and quick decision-making skills are vital in emergency situations, making them indispensable members of the cardiac care team. Qualifications Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have: 1. Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN); preferred. 2. Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License; required. 3. Current BCLS (AHA), ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current; required. 4. One (1) year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area; required.
