Overview We are seeking a Neonatal RN Educator, sometimes referred to as a Neonatal Clinical Nurse Educator, Neonatal Education RN Coordinator or NICU Nurse Educator. The NICU Nurse Educator is responsible for providing specialized education, training, and support to nursing staff working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Their role focuses on enhancing clinical skills, promoting best practices, and ensuring high-quality care for critically ill newborns. **The Neonatal Nurse Educator ensures quality nursing care in the NICU and Nursery through staff training, policy development, mentoring, and compliance with state and national standards, while managing required data collection and reporting. They develop the NICU education plan with leadership, provide outreach education to other facilities, and ensure staff are trained to support neonatal stabilization and resuscitation according to professional standards and the neonatal QAPI Plan. Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State. 2. Three (3) years of clinical experience in neonatal nursing care a. Minimum of one (1) year experience in neonatal nursing care at a NICU that is equivalent to a Regional or Community NICU 3. NRP certificate upon hire and maintain current 4. NRP Instructor preferred 5.
